Tada Falls is located between the border of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh State. How to Reach the Waterfall?

To reach the waterfall, visitors have to go via the village of Varadaiahpalem which is around 12 km from Tada Falls. At hand is only 7km of the rugged trail and the leftover distance is to trek. SUVs or high ground clearance vehicles are ideal for reaching the beginning point of the trek. Also, you can hire an auto from the Varadaiahpalem village to the beginning point. There is a forest checkpoint on the way where tourists have to pay Rs 50 per vehicle and Rs 50 per camera. There is limited assistance in the form of arrow marks and it is desirable to hire a local villager in Varadayapalam village for your guidance.

Once you enter the forest, you have to cross a small bridge. You can see crystal clear water throughout the trip. The beginning point to trek about 1.5 km is easy and there is a stream near the Lord Shiva temple is located on the way to the falls. The route to the waterfall flows near the stream. Tourists are confronted with the first layer of the waterfall, a beautiful spot between dense forest and rocky foundations with a pond of water. The second layer of the waterfall is pretty much in the quiet and beautiful spot, but it demands a difficult trek over steep boulders.

  • Going to Tada Falls is not easy, so it is not suitable for adults, children or those who cannot trek hard.
  • The place is not safe for gangs to drink much, so it is not suitable for family gathering with women.
  • There are no trail signs or directions for easy access, better travel with group of people, friends and the assistance of local people you see or people who have already visited.
  • There are no shops nearby, only a human settlement near Varadaiahpalem village. Carry enough water bottles, snacks, and food, etc.,.
  • The return trip takes about 2 to 3 hours, so plan an early trip and get back before sunset for a safe trip.
