Vaikuntha Theertham is situated to the north-east of the most important temple of Lord Venkateswara. According Hindu mythology, this is one of the holy Waterfalls near Chennai. This blessed theertham is related to Lord Rama, the avatar of Lord Vishnu. The people generally believed that the group of monkeys as of vanara sena of Lord Rama saw Vaikuntam over here, so it to be named as Vaikunta Theertham.
This place is located about 3 km away from the Tirumala Bus Stand and is well attached to various important places. It is said that bathing in this water is actually refreshing and people believed that wash away the evils and bring good luck for your life. Almost hundreds of pilgrims spend time with this place to take a dip.
Getting to this place is complicated; once the Darshan is completed the pilgrims can plan a trip to visit the holy Theerthams close to the temple. As of now, there is no transport facility available to this place. The Rainy season is the best time to visit this place, already this place has beautiful with lush green even in the rainy season this place was more attracted by greenery over with the white water flowing out of the rocky.
